If you received a digital camera as a recent gift or have one going unused in your closet, , then this three hour course is the ideal way to enhance your photographic skills while having fun.
Aimed at Point & Shoots as well as DSLRs, the course is a great refresher for someone who has not been using a camera for a while, or as an introduction for the novice. Whatever your skill level or camera type, this course will have you quickly taking better photos.
You will learn:
- how to download images to a computer,
- what accessories you REALLY need to take better care of camera and lenses,
- how to resize images,
- how to email images,
- how to achieve better exposures,
- how to avoid redeye,
- color space,
- white balance settings,
- and more.
You will also cover:
- Auto mode,
- Program mode,
- the Scenic (Icon) modes,
- digital noise,
- self-timer functions and,
- Aperture priority,
- Shutter priority,
- what ISO is, and
- the relationship between aperture, shutter and ISO.
This is primarily a hands-on course, so bring your camera, its manual, lenses, fresh spare batteries and extra blank memory cards to every class. Also, we will review and critique images in class, the best way to learn how to avoid mistakes and correct them if they occur. Q&A sessions augment the lecture and in-class assignments.
