No matter your skill level or gear, this workshop teaches how to master Depth of Field to achieve awesome Bokeh/stunning soft focus. Depth of Field is one of the major storytelling tools available to photographers. Whether you are shooting documentary style or creative, artistic photography, you have to decide what to include, or exclude in your image as it relates to foreground - subject - background.

    • We customize your two hour, One on One experience to your specific wants and needs, skill level, and equipment. Before your session, please email us with your make and model camera, flash lenses, and other gear. 

    You will learn:

  • the three ways to change Depth of Field,
  • to understand light,
  • the differences when shooting with a crop versus full frame camera, meerkat
  • what Circles of Confusion are,
  • things to watch out for when shooting in Aperture priority mode,
  • what Hyperfocal distance is and how to calculate it,
  • and more!

    • Bring your camera, lenses, tripod, spare batteries (camera and flash) and empty memory cards.
